Find Your Perfect Fit | Auvier Fine Jewelry

The Beauty of a Perfect Fit

At Auvier, we believe true luxury is more than how jewelry looks — it’s how it feels.
The right fit ensures comfort, balance, and the effortless elegance that defines every Auvier piece.
Whether it’s a ring that slides on like a second skin, a bracelet that rests delicately on your wrist, or a necklace that frames your neckline perfectly — precision matters.

This guide will help you find your ideal size for rings, bracelets, and necklaces, all from the comfort of home.

1. Ring Size Guide

How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

  1. Using a String or Paper Strip:

    • Cut a thin strip of paper or string.

    • Wrap it around the base of your finger — snug, but not tight.

    • Mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimeters.

    • Match the measurement to the Auvier chart below.

  2. Using an Existing Ring:

    • Measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits comfortably.

    • Compare it with the chart for your perfect match.

  3. Pro Tip:

    • Measure at room temperature, preferably in the evening. Fingers tend to swell slightly during the day or in warm conditions.

US Size Inside Diameter (mm) Inside Circumference (mm)

6 16.5 51.9
6.5 16.9 53.1
7 17.3 54.4
7.5 17.7 55.7
8 18.1 57.0
8.5 18.5 58.3
9 19.0 59.5
9.5 19.4 60.8
10 19.8 62.1
10.5 20.2 63.4
11 20.6 64.6

Auvier Tips for Perfect Sizing

  • If your ring size falls between two sizes, always choose the larger half size for comfort.

  • For wide bands, go up by a half size; for thin or delicate rings, your regular size will fit perfectly.

  • The ring should slide over the knuckle with light resistance and feel snug but comfortable once in place.

Auvier Note: For engagement or wedding rings, comfort fit bands are slightly rounded on the inside — offering a luxurious, barely-there feel.

2. Bracelet Size Guide

How to Measure Your Wrist

  1. Wrap a flexible tape measure or string around your wrist just below the wrist bone.

  2. Note the measurement in inches or centimeters.

  3. Add extra length depending on your preferred fit:

Fit Style Add This Much
Snug Fit +0.5 in (1.3 cm)
Comfort Fit +0.75–1 in (2–2.5 cm)
Loose Fit +1.25 in (3.2 cm)

Standard Bracelet Sizes

Bracelet Type Women’s Avg. Men’s Avg.
Chain Bracelet 7 in (18 cm) 8 in (20 cm)
Bangle 7.5 in (19 cm) 8.5 in (21.5 cm)
Cuff Adjustable Adjustable

Auvier Note: For stacking or layered looks, vary bracelet lengths by 0.5–1 inch for graceful movement.

3. Necklace Length Guide

Necklaces frame your face, neckline, and outfit — each length creates a distinct mood.

Length Name Where It Falls Style & Occasion
14" Choker Around the neck Chic, modern, pairs well with open collars
16" Collarbone Base of neck Classic daily wear
18" Princess On the collarbone Versatile, most popular length
20" Matinee Just below collarbone Elegant, layered looks
24"–30" Opera / Rope Mid-chest Dramatic, statement style

Layering Tips

  • Combine a 16”, 18”, and 20” chain for a timeless layered effect.

  • Mix metals or gemstones for dimension and personality.

  • Keep proportions balanced — lighter chains at the top, heavier below.

Auvier Tip: Choose your necklace length to complement your neckline — shorter for high collars, longer for open necklines.

4. Earrings & Proportion

While earrings don’t require sizing, proportions matter.

  • Studs (4–6 mm): Subtle, everyday elegance.

  • Hoops (20–40 mm): Modern and flattering.

  • Drops (30–60 mm): Ideal for evening or statement wear.

Auvier Note: Balance earring size with hairstyle and face shape — longer earrings elongate, while round studs soften features.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Ring Width

Wider rings tend to feel tighter; consider sizing up for wide rings.

Stacking

Similar to the width of the ring, as your ring stack grows, it may start to feel tight. Consider sizing up as you add to your stack.

Knuckles can be tricky

Find a size that allows you to get the ring over your knuckles, but isn’t loose enough to fall off.

Dominant side fingers

Your dominant side fingers tend to be a bit larger than the fingers on the opposite hand, so make sure you measure the finger you plan on wearing your ring on!
